The base is made out of strong abs plastic and the spigot is a 7.6mm zinc coated shaft.

 

They can be used in steel, aluminium or plastic poles.

 

If the spigot will not fit into the pole you can file or sand paper the black abs plastic.

 

DO NOT REMOVE TOO MUCH OF THE SPIGOT AS IT MUST FIT TIGHT IN THE POLE.
